Wendy is a pre-licensed therapist (LMHCA) who earned her M.Phil.Ed. in Professional Counseling from the University of Pennsylvania and holds dual B.S. degrees in Clinical Psychology and Cognitive and Behavioral Neuroscience from the University of California, San Diego. She has experience providing individual and group therapy to neurodivergent children, adolescents, and young adults, as well as supporting adolescents in a high school setting. Wendy’s counseling approach is grounded in person-centered and humanistic theories. She believes that every individual has the potential to grow, make meaning from their experiences, and move toward becoming their authentic self. She views therapy as a collaborative process that provides a safe and supportive space for clients to explore their experiences, deepen their understanding of themselves, and work toward meaningful change. She strives to create a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel accepted, respected, and comfortable being themselves. Wendy takes a trauma-informed, strengths-based, and neuroaffirming approach, tailoring therapy to each client’s unique needs, strengths, identities, and goals. She integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), play therapy, expressive arts, and other developmentally appropriate interventions to support clients in exploring and processing their emotions and experiences. As a multilingual therapist, Wendy offers therapy in English, Mandarin Chinese, and Taiwanese and is passionate about providing culturally responsive care. She works with children, adolescents, young adults, and families navigating emotional and social challenges, life transitions, identity exploration, cultural adjustment, intergenerational communication, and immigration-related stress. Outside of therapy, Wendy enjoys baking, reading, and nature photography.
