She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Gender, Women and Sexuality Studies from the University of Washington. She is a 500-hour yoga teacher, certified through the Yoga Alliance. She is also trained in trauma-informed yoga, meditation, and mindfulness. Emily has a background in social justice work and utilizes an anti-oppression lens which is aimed at being attuned to the effects social systems have on clients. Her style is collaborative, client-focused, and trauma-informed. She strives to provide a safe, comfortable, and non-judgmental space. She enjoys working with individuals of all ages—children, adolescents, and adults. She is passionate about the power of play to honor each child’s inner wisdom and trusts that, within a safe and supportive space, they have the capacity to grow and heal. She considers it a privilege to hear clients’ stories and to witness their journeys. She hopes to facilitate the highest quality of care by helping you feel empowered and more connected to yourself, loved ones, and communities.
