Session 8: Junior Explorers
August 17-21 | Grades K-1

Campers will prepare for the transition to school by blending arts, science, and music with story time and active sports to build the foundational social and academic skills needed for kindergarten and first grade.

Sarah joined Olympia Therapy in February 2025 and brings over 14 years of experience designing and leading youth programs, including camps, sports leagues, classes, and community outings. Her work centers on creating engaging, supportive environments where children can thrive.

She has worked with neurodivergent youth and children from a wide range of backgrounds, shaping her collaborative and individualized approach. Sarah partners closely with both youth and caregivers to ensure each child’s camp experience feels affirming, inclusive, and supportive.

Katie brings over 30 years of experience in youth development and mental health, with deep roots in camps, outdoor experiential education, and play-based healing. Her work blends trauma-informed play therapy with nature, creativity, and adventure to support confidence, connection, and a strong sense of self.

She is a licensed marriage and family therapist and certified play therapist who works with children ages 3+, with a focus on anxiety, trauma, attachment, grief, life transitions, and neurodivergence. Katie has served in residential camps, schools, and clinical settings and continues to bring her passion for play, belonging, and empowerment into every space she leads.
