Bellevue Day Camp Sessions

Session 2: Nature Explorers
July 6-10 | Grades 1-3

Campers will build social confidence and sensory awareness while discovering the wonders of the natural world through hands-on outdoor play and evidence-based therapeutic recreation.

Session 4: Science Explorers
July 20-24 | Grades 1-3

Campers will ignite their curiosity through hands-on experiments and sensory-rich activities designed to strengthen executive functioning skills and foster a lifelong love for scientific discovery.

Session 6: Sports Explorers
August 3-7 | Grades 1-3

Campers will practice physical activity and emotional growth by using inclusive, non-competitive team sports to enhance gross motor coordination, promote cooperative social skills, and build self-regulation in a high-energy outdoor setting.

Session 1: Outdoor Discovery

June 29-July 3 | Grades 3-6

Campers will build self-confidence through sensory exploration, sharpen social skills through active group play, and learn emotional regulation through creative expression, all while discovering the wonders of the great outdoors.

Session 3: STEMventures
July 13-17 | Grades 3-6

Campers will sharpen their critical thinking through physics-based experiments, ignite their natural curiosity with hands-on discovery, and strengthen social skills through collaborative group play.

Session 5: Sports Action

July 27-31 | Grades 3-6

Campers will master problem-solving skills through strategic gameplay, refine their balance and coordination through athletic drills, and cultivate essential social skills through collaborative team activities.

Session 8: Junior Explorers
August 17-21 | Grades K-1

Campers will prepare for the transition to school by blending arts, science, and music with story time and active sports to build the foundational social and academic skills needed for kindergarten and first grade.

Meet Katie

Marriage and Family Therapist, Play Therapist
Bellevue Clinic

Katie brings over 30 years of experience in youth development and mental health, with deep roots in camps, outdoor experiential education, and play-based healing. Her work blends trauma-informed play therapy with nature, creativity, and adventure to support confidence, connection, and a strong sense of self.

She is a licensed marriage and family therapist and certified play therapist who works with children ages 3+, with a focus on anxiety, trauma, attachment, grief, life transitions, and neurodivergence. Katie has served in residential camps, schools, and clinical settings and continues to bring her passion for play, belonging, and empowerment into every space she leads.
