Andres is a graduate-level Clinical Mental Health Counseling intern who approaches therapy from a holistic, relational perspective. He understands emotional well-being as emerging from the dynamic interplay between mind, body, relationships, and lived experience. Therapy, for Andres, is a collaborative process grounded in curiosity, attunement, and respect for each client’s unique inner world.
Before entering the counseling field, Andres built a career as a personal trainer and meditation coach and co-founded a mindfulness-based company. He also holds an MBA from Dartmouth College, where he developed a strong appreciation for systems thinking, performance pressure, and the impact of work and responsibility on psychological health. These professional experiences continue to inform his clinical work, particularly his sensitivity to stress, burnout, and the ways long-standing emotional patterns are held and expressed in the body.
Andres is currently completing his MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Antioch University, with an expected graduation in 2027. His clinical approach is primarily psychodynamic and humanistic, with particular attention to attachment patterns and the therapeutic relationship as central pathways for insight and change. He is especially interested in how early relational experiences shape present-day emotions, self-esteem, and patterns in work and intimate relationships. When appropriate, Andres may integrate simple mindfulness and body-based practices to help clients slow down, increase emotional awareness, and develop a more compassionate relationship with their internal experience. His style is thoughtful, collaborative, and reflective, supporting clients in making sense of their experiences rather than rushing toward quick fixes.
